After 2 months in China, it’s time to fly back for the ICL Cup participants! The closing ceremony was held at swissnex China, and the young professionals had the opportunity to learn more about swissnex and Swiss Centers, to understand the network and support that Swiss companies can get in China.

Many thanks to Rahel Gruber, Head of Operations and Co-Deputy CEO at swissnex China, and Kuno Gschwend, Deputy General Manager at Swiss Centers China, for their great presentations and sharing their experience!

Supported by some Swiss organizations and cantonal governments, 18 students and apprentices have been selected to take part in an all-expenses-paid experience in Shanghai, including flights tickets and housing. They had the opportunity to do an internship, learn the basics of Mandarin, and attend weekly cultural activities.

Apart of the professional knowledge they could gain, it was the chance to get out of their comfort zone in a new environment and know more about China, a country playing a major role on the world stage and one of the main economic partners of Switzerland. Being more familiar with the Chinese culture will be a valuable asset for their future career.
