From November 21 to 22, the 2018 International Summit of Women Entrepreneurs took place in Guangzhou with a representative of swissnex China being invited as part of the Swiss delegation. Titled with ‘Innovation and Growth: Women Empowerment to Win the Future’, the summit had strong speakers present, such as for example Maya Morsy, President of National Council for Women of the Arab Republic of Egypt; GUAN Yuxiang, Founder of ORG Packaging Co., Ltd. (aged 80!); Sophia Slingerland, Founder of Atelier Phi-I; Joy Tan, President of Global Media Communications at Huawei Technologies; Jet Jing, President of Tmall, Alibaba Group; and MENG Xiaosi, Chairwoman of China Woman’s Development Foundation.

For the afternoon of the second day, the participants of the summit were taken to Unicorn Field, an incubator for startups, which is part of the Heungkong Financial Center in Guangzhou.
