swissnex China organized an informal gathering for alumni from all Swiss universities at the Swiss Week 2015. Different from last year, swissnex China did not have a booth at the Swiss Village, but we were nevertheless able to provide a tent to host participating alumni members on May 14th. Pascal Marmier, Vice Consul General and CEO of swissnex China, and Anna Mattei, Deputy Consul General, Culture, Media and Education Section Head– both welcomed the guests with a brief speech.
Around 50 Swiss alumni attended the event, representing more than 15 Swiss educational institutions. They could enjoy Swiss specialties such as raclette and sausages, in addition to Swiss wine and other snacks along with melody from a Swiss instrument played by the very young Joshua Broger. Swiss universities logos were openly displayed, attracting some curious minds that were present at the Swiss Village at that time. Although we provided an exclusive area for alumni members under our tent, they were able to freely explore the exhibition, allowing them to exchange with their peers all around the park.
